Lazarus mogelijk actief in Renault World Series na GP2-exit

Lazarus maakte onlangs bekend na vier jaar te stoppen in de GP2. Mogelijk gaat het team verder in de Formule Renault 3.5 series.

Lazarus teambaas Tancredi Pagiaro: “We zijn aan het evalueren wat we willen. We zijn een aantal opties aan het bekijken. Mogelijk zetten we één auto in in de Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe, we willen onze nieuwe Huracan GT3 auto gebruiken in het Grand Touring Championship en we willen actief zijn in een single-seater klasse. Welke klasse dat is maken we later dit jaar bekend.

Die laatste klasse zal mogelijk de FR3.5 zijn. Mocht Lazarus daadwerkelijk toe treden tot die klasse, dan zullen ze het tweede nieuwe team in de klasse zijn volgend jaar. AF Corse baas Amato Ferrari bevestigde eerder dit jaar toe te treden in de klasse onder de naam Spirit of Racing Team.
