Raffaele Marciello aan de slag bij Racing Engineering

De naam van het team waarmee Raffaele Marciello zijn avontuur in de GP2 start is bekend. De 19-jarige Italiaan, die vorig jaar het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap op zijn naam schreef, treedt bij Racing Engineering in de voetsporen van regerend kampioen Fabio Leimer.

Marciello: "Ik ben heel blij om onderdeel uit te gaan maken van Racing Engineering. Het is een van de beste teams in de GP2 en ik ben hier goed op mijn plaats. De GP2 is een fantastisch platform om te leren over bandenmanagement en bovendien rij je in het voorprogramma van veel Formule 1-races. Ik ben de Ferrari Driver Academy dankbaar voor de onophoudelijke steun en ik weet zeker dat we samen met Racing Engineering mooie resultaten kunnen behalen."
