Valles rijdt in 2008 voor het team van Fisichella

Adrian Valles (foto, tweede van links) keert in 2008 na een jaar afwezigheid terug in de GP2. De Spanjaard gaat rijden voor het GP2-team van Giancarlo Fisichella, Fisichella Motor Sport (FMS). Valles stond dit jaar bij Spyker als testcoureur onder contract, maar wil weer racen om zijn carrière vlot te trekken.

Bij de test in Paul Ricard klikte het goed met FMS en ik ben heel blij dat ze me vroegen om voor ze te rijden. Een jaar als Formule 1-testcoureur is zeker niet slecht voor me geweest, maar als coureur wil je racen en winnen. Het is geweldig dat ik terug kan keren in de GP2 en ik ga voor de titel. Een kampioenschap zou het beste zijn voor een terugkeer in de Formule 1, aldus Valles.

Teambaas Paolo Coloni: Ik volgde Adrian vroeger al in andere series en hij heeft altijd goede resultaten neergezet. Ik was ook zeer onder de indruk toen we hem uitprobeerden in Paul Ricard. Hij was zeer snel, constant en gaf bruikbare feedback. Het team en Adrian werkten meteen goed samen en ik weet zeker dat we sterk voor de dag zullen komen in 2008.
