Trust verbindt zich aan Arden International

De naam van Trust zal volgend jaar toch nog in het GP2-kampioenschap te zien zijn. Trust-directeur Michel Perridon wilde eigenlijk een eigen team beginnen, maar de organisatie van de opstapklasse stond die toetreding in de weg. Dus besloot Perridon zich in te kopen bij een bestaan team, te weten Arden International. Het GP2-team van Red Bull Racing-teambaas Christian Horner zal voortaan als Trust Team Arden door het leven gaan. Trust is de komende drie jaar hoofdsponsor van het team.

Perridon: Wij zijn zeer blij en trots dat we partner worden van het team van Arden. Wij volgen de GP2 al een tijdje intensief en zien deze klasse als geweldig marketinginstrument. Deze klasse wordt steeds populairder en biedt zeer competitieve races. We willen deze samenwerking niet alleen gebruiken om onze naamsbekendheid te vergroten, maar ook om de autosport in Nederland een boost te geven. Trust Team Arden is namelijk het enige, gedeeltelijk, Nederlandse team in de GP2 en dat biedt kansen voor Nederlandse talenten.

Teameigenaar Christian Horner: Ik ben verheugd met deze nieuwe titelsponsor. Trust is een zeer succesvol bedrijf dat zich al jaren actief bezig houdt met de autosport. Ze hebben nu besloten om in de GP2 te stappen en dankzij hun steun zullen wij de komende drie jaar in de top blijven meedoen. We kijken nu al uit naar een veelbelovend seizoen 2008, zowel in Azië als in Europa.
