Puglisi vervangt Valsecchi in Monaco

Het team van Durango heeft Marcello Puglisi opgeroepen als vervanger van Davide Valsecchi voor de race in Monaco. Valsecchi is nog steeds geblesseerd aan zijn rug na een zware crash in Turkije. Aan het einde van het achterste rechte stuk weigerden zijn remmen dienst en knalde hij hard in de bandenstapels.

Op advies van de doktoren laat hij de race in Monaco schieten. Valsecchi: Het is jammer dat ik de ronde in Monaco moet missen, maar de doktoren hebben me overtuigd dat het verstandig is om geduld te hebben om problemen in de toekomst te voorkomen. Daarom geef ik mijn auto eenmalig over aan een goede coureur en bovendien een vriend. Vanaf Magny-Cours zal ik de cockpit weer bemannen.

Puglisi: Ik vind het spijtig voor mijn vriend Davide. Ik zal in Monaco proberen om zijn auto op de best mogelijke positie over de finish brengen. Dat wordt niet makkelijk, maar ik heb vertrouwen in mezelf en de potentie van Durango. Daarna concentreer ik me weer volledig op de Formula Master, wat mijn hoofdprogramma voor dit jaar vormt.
