Exclusief: Carlo van Dam test voor Fisichella Motor Sport

Carlo van Dam zal woensdag en donderdag in de GP2-klasse voor Fisichella Motor Sport testen. Dat kan F1Today.nl exclusief melden. Het is de tweede keer dat onze columnist Van Dam in een GP2-wagen zijn kilometers zal maken. Vorig jaar maakte hij zijn testdebuut tijdens een testdag met BCN Competition.

Carlo vertelt tegen F1Today.nl: "Ik ben blij dat ik toch nog even mijn gezicht kan laten zien tijdens deze GP2-test. Het is belangrijk om twee dagen te kunnen testen met één team, en die mogelijkheid krijg ik nu bij Fisichella Motor Sport, dat wordt gerund door Paulo Coloni, een man met veel ervaring. Afgelopen weekend ben ik naar Nederland gevlogen om me voor te bereiden, morgenochtend vlieg ik richting Jerez."

"Ik zal daar kennis maken met het team, een stoeltje schuimen en proberen om alles te optimaliseren voor de eerste testdag, die woensdag zal zijn. Ik ben blij dat het op een circuit als Jerez is, met een goed karakteristiek van een echt racecircuit. Ik heb hier echter nog nooit gereden, maar dat moet geen probleem zijn. We zullen zien hoe het de komende dagen zal gaan en wie weet wat het brengt voor de toekomst."
