Tiago Monteiro neemt leiding BCN Competicion in handen

Oud Formule 1-coureur Tiago Monteiro, tegenwoordig actief in het World Touring Car Championship, heeft GP2-team BCN Competicion overgenomen. De Portugees gaat dit avontuur samen met zijn manager Jose Manuel Guedes aan.

Monteiro: Dit is een stap die ik altijd al voor ogen had, maar ik had me niet kunnen voorstellen dat ik hem nu al zou maken. De mogelijkheid deed zich nu echter voor en daarom hebben we de financiële aspecten uitgewerkt en de onderhandelingen geopend.

Leiding geven aan een team is fascinerend, want je moet niet alleen snappen wat er op de baan gebeurt, je moet ook kennis van de zakenwereld hebben. De GP2 is een geweldige springplank voor ons om de autosport in Portugal naar een hoger plan te tillen.
