Monteiro benoemt Crestani als teamgenoot van Buurman

Yelmer Buurman heeft bij Ocean Racing gezelschap gekregen van Fabrizio Crestani. De Italiaan moet samen met de Nederlander komend weekend in Dubai in de GP2 Asia Series de eer hooghouden voor het nieuwe team van oud Formule 1-coureur Tiago Monteiro. Crestani was afgelopen seizoen actief in de Euroseries 3000 en sloot dat kampioenschap af als vijfde.

Hij viel pas echt op bij zijn eerste GP2-test, vorige maand op het circuit van Paul Ricard, waarbij hij in een middagsessie in de top tien eindigde. Monteiro: Fabrizio is een jonge coureur met veel potentie. Hij paste zich snel aan de Euroseries 3000 aan en presteerde vervolgens solide. Nu staat hij voor een nieuwe uitdaging en hij heeft nooit eerder met zon krachtige auto geracet. Hij is zeer gemotiveerd om te slagen en dat is belangrijk voor een kampioenschap waar veel jonge coureurs graag in mee willen doen.
