Kobayashi wint race 1 in Dubai, Van der Garde vierde

Giedo van der Garde heeft zijn eerste punten in de GP2 Asia Series binnen. De Nederlander snelde op het circuit van Dubai vanaf de zevende startplaats naar de vierde plek. Renger van der Zande eindigde als elfde. Voor Yelmer Buurman en Chris van der Drift was race 1 op het circuit van Dubai al snel over.

De winst ging naar Kamui Kobayashi, die gisteren ook al de pole position pakte. De Japanner had aan de finish maar liefst veertien seconden voorsprong op de man op de tweede positie, Davide Valsecchi. De laatste podiumplek viel ten deel aan Roldan Rodriguez, die vier seconden voor Van der Garde over de streep ging.

Morgen is race 2 in Dubai.
