Lancaster eindigt bovenaan op slotdag in Bahrein

Jon Lancaster heeft de GP2-testweek afgesloten met de beste tijd op de laatste dag. De Brit kwam namens MP Motorsport tot een tijd van 1:39.647. Daniel de Jong rijdt voor hetzelfde team, maar hij was een seconde langzamer dan Lancaster, wat resulteerde in P18.

Achter Lancaster was het dringen. Alexander Rossi, Felipe Nasr, Stoffel Vandoorne en Daniel Abt completeerden in die volgorde de top vijf. Dat vijftal dook onder de 1:40, de rest had meer dan honderd seconden nodig voor een rondje Bahrain International Circuit.

In de top tien staan verder nog mannen als Jolyon Palmer, Julian Leal, Raffaele Marciello, Mitch Evans en Rio Haryanto. Het nieuwe GP2-seizoen trapt over twee weken af met races in Bahrein. Sport1 zendt dit jaar de wedstrijden in het voorportaal van de Formule 1 uit.
