Ellinas vervangt geblesseerde Quaife-Hobbs bij Rapax

Tio Ellinas staat dit weekend in Rusland namens Rapax aan de start in de GP2. De Cyprioot neemt de plaats over van Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, die af heeft moeten zeggen met een nekblessure. Simon Trummer krijgt in Sotsji gezelschap van Ellinas als teamgenoot.

Ellinas debuteerde eerder dit jaar voor MP Motorsport in de GP2. Hij reed drie weekenden voor de Nederlandse renstal in het voorportaal van de Formule 1 en scoorde daarin zeven punten. De Cyprioot was in 2013 actief in de GP3 en sloot dat jaar af met een vierde plaats in de eindstand.
