Contractverlenging voor Julian Leal bij Carlin

Julian Leal komt ook in 2015 namens Carlin uit in de GP2. De 24-jarige Colombiaan begint dan aan zijn vijfde seizoen in het voorportaal van de Formule 1. Dit jaar was hij goed voor twee podiumplekken en 68 punten in totaal, wat hem de tiende plaats in de eindstand opleverde.

Leal: "Ik ben heel blij dat ik de mogelijkheid krijg om nog een jaar voor Carlin te racen. Van alle teams waar ik ooit voor gereden heb is dit de beste. Bij deze renstal luisteren ze echt naar wat je als coureur te zeggen hebt en ze adviseren je ook hoe je iets beter kan doen."

"Dat is goed voor me, ik kan zo veel leren in een prettige omgeving. Ik ga me gedegen voorbereiden op volgend seizoen en hard werken. Ik wil het nieuwe jaar beginnen zoals dit jaar, met een podium. Alleen is het zaak om die vorm dan wel het gehele seizoen vast te houden."
