Status GP herenigd met Marlon Stockinger

Status Grand Prix debuteert komend seizoen in de GP2 en de renstal heeft de eerste coureur voor 2015 bekend gemaakt. Het team gaat in zee met oude bekende Marlon Stockinger. De 23-jarige coureur met de Filipijnse en Zwitserse nationaliteit reed in 2012 in de GP3 al voor Status GP.

Stockinger: "Het is heerlijk om terug te keren bij Status GP en ik bewaar goede herinneringen aan onze eerdere samenwerking. De overwinning in Monaco in de GP3 springt er natuurlijk uit. Het hoofdkwartier van het team staat in Silverstone en daar is mijn Europese carrière ook begonnen. Het voelt nostalgisch en positief. Ik ben opgewonden over mijn eerste seizoen in de GP2."

"Dit is een zware klasse met veel grote namen die voor de titel zullen gaan. Als debutant is het volgens mij verstandiger om op top tien-noteringen en punten te mikken. We nemen alles stap voor stap en we proberen zoveel mogelijk op te steken tijdens de voorbereidingstests. Autosport is groeiende op de Filipijnen, dat is cool, en ik ben dankbaar voor alle steun."
