Gasly geeft Vandoorne het nakijken bij test

Op de slotdag van de GP2-test in Bahrein heeft Pierre Gasly de snelste tijd laten noteren. De Fransman gaf met een 1:39.632 Stoffel Vandoorne het nakijken. De achterstand van de ART Grand Prix-coureur bedroeg slechts veertien duizendsten.

Nigel Melker deed na de lunchpauze van zich spreken, maar de tijden in de middag waren veel langzamer dan die in de ochtend. Toch is het knap dat hij na anderhalve dag voor Hilmer Motorsport al competitief kan zijn. Met een 1:41.566 was hij niet de snelste Nederlander van de dag. Daniël de Jong had eerder al een 1:41.354 uit zijn auto geperst. Dat was in de ochtendsessie goed voor een klassering als 22ste.
