De Jong krijgt gezelschap van Canamasas

MP Motorsport heeft Daniel de Jong voor het openingsweekend van het nieuwe GP2-seizoen gekoppeld aan Sergio Canamasas. Met dat tweetal vangt de Nederlandse renstal de nieuwe jaargang aan. Canamasas is vooralsnog alleen voor de ronde in Bahrein bevestigd.

De GP2 is niet nieuw voor Canamasas. De Spanjaard sleet al drie werkgevers in het voorportaal van de Formule 1. Vorig jaar stond hij namens Trident Racing één maal op het podium. Canamasas heeft door de jaren heen een bedenkelijke reputatie opgebouwd. Zo werd hij vorig jaar in Monza gediskwalificeerd voor roekeloos rijgedrag.
