Trummer in plaats van Cecotto bij Hilmer

Simon Trummer maakt dit weekend weer zijn opwachting in het GP2-veld. De 26-jarige Zwitser stapt in bij het team van Hilmer Motorsport als vervanger van Johnny Cecotto. Samen met Nick Yelolly zal hij in Oostenrijk de eer van de Duitse renstal verdedigen.

Trummer is geen onbekende voor de GP2. De Zwitser was de voorbije drie seizoenen een vaste waarde op de grid, zonder veel aansprekende resultaten te behalen. Een tweede plaats in de sprintrace in Bahrein van vorig jaar is zijn enige podiumplek.
