Rowland in België terug bij MP Motorsport

Oliver Rowland maakt volgende week op Spa-Francorchamps weer zijn opwachting in de GP2 bij de Nederlandse renstal MP Motorsport. De leider in de tussenstand van de Formule Renault 3.5 in de World Series by Renault debuteerde in Silverstone verdienstelijk in het voorportaal van de Formule 1 met twee top tien-klasseringen. In België vergezelt hij Daniël de Jong als teamgenoot.

Rowland: "Het is andermaal een geweldige mogelijkheid om te laten zien waartoe ik in staat ben. Ik heb al met de GP2-auto gereden en ik heb eerder dit seizoen op Spa geracet, dus ik sta meer op gelijke hoogte met de rest dan in Silverstone. Ik bewaar goede herinneringen aan Spa, ik heb er gewonnen in de Formule Renault 2.0 en Formule Renault 3.5. Ik verheug me op volgende week."

Teammanager Sander Dorsman: "Oliver is een toptalent en ik ben blij dat hij terug is bij ons. Hij scoorde punten in beide races op Silverstone, dus ik zie geen reden waarom hij op Spa niet een volgende stap vooruit zou kunnen zetten. We wonnen samen op deze baan in de Formule Renault 2.0 in 2013 en ik ben benieuwd wat we nu kunnen laten zien."
