Binder herstellende van bacteriële infectie

Rene Binder mist de GP2-races op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps van komend weekend. De Oostenrijker herstelt van een bacteriële infectie waar hij in Hongarije al last van had. Trident Racing heeft debutant Gustav Malja opgeroepen als vervanger.

Binder: "Voor Boedapest liep ik een streptokokkeninfectie op en ik heb er alles aan gedaan om toch te racen op de Hungaroring. Ik overleefde de extreme hitte in Hongarije, maar achteraf was het misschien niet de beste beslissing om daar aan de start te staan."

"De infectie kwam een paar dagen later namelijk terug, inclusief hoge koorts. Hoewel ik me inmiddels beter voel, hebben de artsen me aangeraden om België over te slaan. Teleurstellend, want Spa is een van mijn favoriete circuits. Ik kan niet anders dan Trident succes wensen."

Erg voor de man maar ik vrees dat niemand Binder mist omdat hij zelf de GP van België GP2 mist.
