Giedo van der Garde tevreden: "Het was een goede race"

Giedo van der Garde kan terugkijken op een geslaagd weekend in Turkije. Nadat de Nederlander in de eerste race als vierde eindigde, pakte Van der Garde vandaag een derde plaats in sprintrace. Na afloop was de coureur van Barwa Addax tevreden.

"Het was een goede race", zei Giedo. "Niet briljant, maar goed. We hebben dit weekend weer flink wat punten binnengehaald en als we zo doorgaan ziet het er positief uit. In de race had ik een probleem met mijn sidepot, waardoor ik tijd verloor op het rechte stuk. Ik had een mooi gevecht met Davide Valsecchi, maar ik wist hem gelukkig achter me te houden."

"Afgelopen weekend was ik de hele tijd een beetje koortsig, dus gezien de situatie hebben we er het maximale uitgehaald. We racen pas weer over een maand, in Valencia, dus ik ga nu weer hard trainen, zodat we er weer zullen staan."
