Gasly verslaat Vandoorne voor pole position

Pierry Gasly vertrekt morgen van pole position in de hoofdrace van de GP2 van dit weekend op het circuit van Bahrein. De Fransman was net iets sneller dan kampioen Stoffel Vandoorne. Het verschil tussen de twee bedroeg slechts vier honderdsten.

Raffaele Marciello en Alex Lynn bevolken de tweede startrij en ook zij gaven weinig toe op Gasly. De top vier eindigde binnen een tiende van de snelste tijd. Daniël de Jong kon zijn terugkeer niet opsieren met een mooie startpositie. De Nederlander moest genoegen nemen met P21.
