Trident hevelt Ghiotto over naar de GP2

Luca Ghiotto debuteert komend seizoen in de GP2. De Italiaan eindigde vorig jaar achter Esteban Ocon als runner-up in de GP3. Trident Racing was toen al zijn werkgever en de Italiaanse renstal gunt hem nu een kans in het voorportaal van de Formule 1.

Ghiotto: "Ik kan niet wachten om dit nieuwe avontuur aan te vangen. Het was vorig jaar moeilijk te verkroppen dat ik de titel na een lang en zwaar gevecht net misliep. Echter, het was een extreem waardevolle ervaring met de behulp van het uitmuntende teamwork bij Trident. Ik wil de teamleiding bedanken voor de steun, evenals de Italiaanse autosportbond. Ik verheug me erop om straks weer de baan op te gaan."
