Giedo van der Garde klimt naar tweede plaats in het kampioenschap

Giedo van der Garde heeft een prima weekend in Valencia in stijl afgesloten, door fraai tweede te worden in de race op zondag. De Nederlander klimt hiermee naar een uitstekende tweede plaats in het kampioenschap.

"Ik had een superstart en een erg goede eerste ronde", zei Giedo. "Ik lag gelijk op de tweede plaats, maar daarna kwam er een safety car-situatie. Dat was balen, omdat we de auto zo hadden afgesteld dat de banden aan het einde van de race sneller zouden zijn. Die negen ronden neutralisatie zorgden ervoor dat we daar helaas niet van konden profiteren. Maar ik ben tevreden met deze tweede plaats en die in het kampioenschap. Op naar Silverstone!"
