Van der Garde: "Laat het morgen maar lekker regenen"

Giedo van der Garde heeft weinig geluk gehad in de eerste race op het circuit van Hockenheim. De Nederlander was op koers om punten te scoren, toen hij van de baan werd getikt door Sam Bird. Het kostte hem flink wat posities en dus hoopt hij voor race 2 op een flinke regenbui, zodat er nog wat verrassingen mogelijk zijn.

"Hier ben ik natuurlijk niet blij mee", begon Giedo. "Ik lag op een kansrijke positie, zicht op punten en dan kom Bird met zo'n actie. Hij heeft er nog wel een straf voor gekregen, maar daar heb ik natuurlijk niets aan. We moeten maar zien wat de race van morgen brengt. Als ik nog wat punten kan scoren ben ik tevreden. Laat het morgen maar flink regenen, dan is alles nog mogelijk!"
