Piscopo debuteert in Italië als vervanger van Cecotto bij Trident

Edoardo Piscopo verdedigt komend weekend op Monza de kleuren van Trident Racing. De Italiaan, dit jaar actief in de Auto GP en hij leidt in dat kampioenschap, vervangt Johnny Cecotto. Piscopo testte afgelopen winter al voor Trident Racing en racete in de GP2 Asia Series voor DAMS.

Ik ben heel blij dat ik mijn debuut in de GP2 ga maken voor Trident Racing in het voorprogramma van de Italiaanse Grand Prix. Monza is een speciaal circuit voor me, aangezien ik bij de junioren altijd op het podium eindigde op deze baan. Mijn doel is om mezelf naarmate het weekend vordert steeds te verbeteren en op een of andere manier een weg richting de punten te vinden. Door mijn gebrek aan ervaring is dat geen gemakkelijke opgave, aldus Piscopo.
