Leimer tekent bij kampioen Rapax voor Asia Series en 2011

Fabio Leimer is door Rapax vastgelegd voor de GP2 Asia Series en het GP2-seizoen 2011. Leimer testte vorige week twee dagen voor de kampioen van 2010, met succes. De Zwitser debuteerde dit jaar bij Ocean Racing in de GP2 en won in Barcelona de sprintrace.

Leimer: Ik ben trots en blij dat ik voor Rapax getekend heb voor mijn tweede jaar in de GP2 en het doet me veel dat ze vertrouwen in me hebben. Ik weet dat het team volledig gebrand is om de titel volgend jaar te prolongeren en ik zal alles doen om ze daarbij te helpen.

Rapax-directeur Andrea Bergamini: We zijn heel blij om Fabio in ons team te verwelkomen. We volgen hem al een tijdje en hij domineerde in 2009 de Formula Master. Tijdens de test in Abu Dhabi toonde hij zijn talent met snelle rondetijden en een professionele aanpak met het team.
