Mikhail Aleshin niet in staat om te racen na crash in kwalificatie

Het raceweekend in Turkije van Mikhail Aleshin zit er alweer op. De Rus kan niet deelnemen aan de races die morgen en zondag worden verreden. Bij een crash in de kwalificatie raakte de Carlin-coureur gewond aan zijn hand en moet daardoor de resterende sessies van het weekend laten schieten.

"Ik remde op dezelde plek als ik eerder ook deed voor bocht 12, maar de auto wilde gewoon niet stoppen", vertelde Aleshin na afloop. "Het team onderzoekt nu wat het probleem geweest is. Natuurlijk ben ik erg teleurgesteld dat ik niet kan racen en ik vind het jammer voor het team dat ik geen punten heb kunnen scoren."

Het is nog onzeker of Aleshin dit seizoen nog in actie gaat komen, want Carlin bevestigde de Rus afgelopen week pas. Eerder werd het contract van Aleshin al ontbonden na financiële problemen.
