Pirelli looft geldprijs uit voor beste GP3-rijder bij GP2-finale

Bandenleverancier Pirelli stelt de beste van de GP3-coureurs die in Abu Dhabi aan de seizoensfinale van de GP2 deelnemen een geldprijs in het vooruitzicht. Yas Marina Circuit is het strijdtoneel voor een losstaand GP2-evenement, nu de Main Series en de Asia Series in 2012 samen gaan.

De verwachting is dat veel GP3-coureurs in Abu Dhabi in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1 zullen rijden en Pirelli heeft een geldprijs ingesteld. De beste GP3-coureur verdient 15.000 euro, de tweede GP3-rijder krijgt 10.000 euro, met als voorwaarde dat ze in de punten finishen.

GP2-organisator Bruno Michel: De GP2-finale is de perfecte gelegenheid voor jonge rijders, bijvoorbeeld uit de GP3, voor een eerste kennismaking met de GP2. Dat onze officiële partner Pirelli prijzengeld beschikbaar stelt voor de beste GP3-rijders voegt een extra dimensie aan dat weekend toe.
