Palmer test in Jerez voor iSport en Addax, Bird rijdt voor Trident

Jolyon Palmer test volgende week op het circuit van Jerez voor de teams van iSport International en Barwa Addax. De 20-jarige Brit kwam dit jaar in de GP2 uit voor Arden, zonder succes. Hij wist zowel in de Asia Series als in de Main Series geen enkel punt te scoren.

Palmer krijgt op de eerste dag bij iSport gezelschap van Carlos Iaconelli. De tweede dag stappen Tom Dillmann en Nathanael Berthon in bij de Britse renstal. Palmer: Ik ben opgewonden om te testen voor iSport duidelijk een topteam dat frequent op het podium staat en Addax de winnaar van de titel bij de teams dit jaar. Het betreft een grote kans om me te ontwikkelen, om te leren en om mijn potentieel te bewijzen. Ik ben deze twee teams dan ook dankbaar.

Sam Bird rijdt volgende week voor Trident Racing. De Brit eindigde dit jaar als zesde in het eindklassement voor iSport International. Josef Kral neemt de eerste dag voor Trident voor zijn rekening en staat dan het stuur af aan Bird. Julian Leal bestuurt de tweede auto van Trident Racing twee dagen.
