Calado verdedigt ook volgend jaar de kleuren van Lotus GP

James Calado heeft zijn verbintenis met Lotus GP verlengd voor 2013. De Brit debuteerde dit jaar in de GP2 en wist meteen twee keer te winnen. De ambities en de lat liggen voor zijn tweede seizoen in het voorportaal van de Formule 1 een stuk hoger.

Calado: "Het doet me deugd dat de Racing Steps Foundation besloten heeft om de steun aan mij voort te zetten, waardoor ik in 2013 weer aan dit enorm competitieve kampioenschap mee kan doen namens Lotus GP. Ik voel me bevoorrecht om onderdeel uit te maken van dit project en om de support te genieten van geweldige partners. Zonder hun hulp zou dit niet mogelijk zijn. Qua snelheid hebben we in 2012 getoond dat we het in ons hebben, met wat pole positions en zeges. Nu ken ik de auto, ken ik de banden en ken ik het team. Ik reken er op snel te zijn en races te winnen. Ik kijk uit naar 2013 en hoop het afgelopen seizoen te overtreffen."
