Racing Engineering koppelt Leal aan Leimer voor 2013

Het team van Racing Engineering heeft de line-up voor het komende GP2-seizoen rond. Met Fabio Leimer en Julian Leal heeft de Spaanse renstal twee GP2-routiniers aangesteld. Leimer vangt in 2013 zijn vierde jaar in de opstapklasse aan, voor Leal betreft het zijn derde seizoen in het voorportaal van de Formule 1.

Leimer, ook vorig jaar al actief voor Racing Engineering: "Ik ben blij dat ik opnieuw voor dit team mag racen. Ik voel me hier thuis, de samenwerking verliep afgelopen seizoen al goed en professioneel, en ik kijk ernaar uit om daar op voort te borduren. Ik bedank de leiding voor hun vertrouwen in mij. Ik ben overtuigd van onze kansen om in 2013 de titel te pakken."

Leal, die over komt van Trident Racing: "Racing Engineering is een renstal waar ik in geloof en waar ik de opgedane ervaring kan toepassen. Ik ben content met de overeenkomst met dit team en ga alles geven om de best mogelijke resultaten te behalen. Het is mooi om weer aan de zijde van Fabio te opereren, hij is een snelle coureur en we kunnen de data vergelijken om te verbeteren."
