Hilmer Motorsport vervangt Ocean Racing op GP2-grid

Hilmer Motorsport treedt komend seizoen toe tot de GP2. De Duitse renstal neemt de plek in van Ocean Racing Technology. Dat team van voormalig Formule 1-coureur Tiago Monteiro kon de GP2- en GP3-activiteiten financieel niet meer bolwerken.

GP2-baas Bruno Michel: "Het doet me deugd om Hilmer Motorsport welkom te heten in de GP2. Het is de eerste keer sinds de totstandkoming van deze serie dat we een Duits team bevatten. Ze zijn al hard aan het werk om volgende maand klaar en competitief bij de test in Jerez te verschijnen. Ik weet zeker dat ze een mooie aanwinst voor ons veld vormen. Ik wil Tiago Monteiro en alle betrokken bij zijn team bedanken voor hun toewijding in de afgelopen vier jaar."
