Ernesto Viso maakt rentree op Magny-Cours

Ernesto Viso doet vanaf dit weekend weer mee aan het GP2-kampioenschap. De Venezolaan neemt bij Racing Engineering de plaats in van Sergio Jimenez. Op het circuit van Magny-Cours zal hij samen met stalgenoot Javier Villa de eer voor het Spaanse team hoog moeten houden.

In een verklaring meldt Racing Engineering het volgende: Ernesto zal een bruikbare aanvulling zijn voor ons team en wij kunnen zijn twee jaar ervaring in deze klasse goed gebruiken. Met Villa en Viso hebben wij een mix van jeugd, talent en ervaring en dus achten wij een overwinning in Frankrijk haalbaar.

Viso reed vorig jaar nog voor iSport en won twee races voor dat team. Voor dit jaar richtte de 22-jarige coureur zijn aandacht op het behalen van een testzitje bij een Formule 1-team, maar daarin slaagde hij niet. Viso miste vijf races, maar zaterdag maakt hij zijn rentree in een GP2-race.
