Timo Glock mag zich GP2-kampioen van 2007 noemen. De Duitser ging het slotweekend op het circuit van Valencia in met twee punten voorsprong op Lucas di Grassi, maar de titel kwam nooit in gevaar. Glock werd zevende in race 1 en sloot daarna het seizoen af in stijl met een zege in race 2.

Di Grassi was in de eerste race al van de baan gespind en moest race 2 dus vanaf de achterste startrijen aanvangen. De Braziliaan maakte wel een snelle opmars, maar die stokte op de dertiende plek achter de teamgenoot van Glock, Andreas Zuber.

Vlak daarvoor reed Ho-Pin Tung (foto). De coureur van BCN Competiticion eindigde in het slotweekend beide races als elfde. De Nederlandse Chinees debuteerde dit jaar in de GP2 en behaalde vier punten.

Race 1 op het circuit van Valencia was een prooi voor Vitaly Petrov. Het was de eerste overwinning van de Rus. Zijn teamgenoot Giorgio Pantano zorgde met een tweede plek voor een dubbelzege van Campos Grand Prix.
