Jimmy Eriksson zoekt zijn heil bij Koiranen GP

Jimmy Eriksson zal dit jaar toch niet voor Russian Time in de GP3 actief zijn. Sinds het plotselinge overlijden van Russian Time-baas Igor Mazepa is het gissen naar de GP3-bedoelingen van het team. Eriksson koos het zekere voor het onzekere en tekende bij Koiranen GP.

Eriksson: "Ik ben Koiranen GP enorm dankbaar voor de inspanningen om me voor komend seizoen in een competitieve auto op de GP3-grid te zetten. Het tragische nieuws van de dood van Igor gooide mijn plannen aardig in de war, maar dat is een hoofdstuk dat ik graag afsluit. Koiranen GP debuteerde vorig jaar verdienstelijk in de GP3 en ik denk dat het team goed bij me past. Ik mag van geluk spreken dat ik een goed stoeltje heb bemachtigd en die kans grijp ik met beide handen aan."
