Robert Wickens aan de slag bij Status

Robert Wickens keert terug bij het team van Status. Eerder won hij voor die renstal in de A1 Grand Prix namens Team Canada al races, in 2010 komt hij uit in de nieuwe GP3 Series. Wickens, in 2009 vice-kampioen in de Formule 2, krijgt Ivan Lukashevich als teamgenoot.

Wickens: "De GP3 is een mooie stap voor me. We rijden in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1 en dit is een kans voor me om mezelf te tonen. Na de test met de GP3-auto van Status was ik er op gebrand om het budget voor een zitje te vergaren. Dat is gelukt met dank aan de inzet van veel mensen in Canada en ik ben Status dankbaar voor het vertrouwen. Voor minder dan de titel doen we het niet. Het is leuk om al die bekende gezichten uit mijn A1 Grand Prix-tijd te zien. Toen wonnen we samen en dat succes kunnen we herhalen."
