Mardenborough racet in 2015 voor Carlin

Jann Mardenborough gaat een druk jaar tegemoet. Naast voor Nissan in het World Endurance Championship in de LMP1-klasse racen zal hij voor Carlin in de GP3 uitkomen. Vorig seizoen stond hij twee keer op het podium en scoorde in totaal 77 punten voor Arden in de GP3.

Mardenborough: "Aan het begin van dit jaar bedacht ik me hoe geweldig het zou zijn om in 2015 de LMP1 met de GP3 te combineren en ik ben dan ook blij dat we erin geslaagd zijn om dat pakket samen te stellen. Beide kampioenschappen zijn relevant naar elkaar toe, zoals alles in de racerij is, maar ze vereisen wel uiteenlopende kwaliteiten. De GP3 zijn korte sprints, dus de wedstrijden gaan er stevig en agressief aan toe. In de LMP1 draait het juist om uithoudingsvermogen."

"Het is fijn om herenigd te worden met Carlin. Voor dit team reed in 2013 al in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. Dat was mijn debuut in de eenzitters en Carlin is een zeer professioneel team. Ik wil een winnaar zijn, dus aan de hand van mijn ervaringen van vorig jaar ga ik proberen mijn performance te verbeteren om mee te strijden voor het podium en om een boel punten te pakken."
