Van der Zande: "Ik voel druk en daar hou ik wel van"

Voor Renger van der Zande start het seizoen komend weekend. De Nederlander is dit jaar actief in de nieuwe GP3 Series, waarvan de wedstrijden in het voorprogramma van de Europese Formule 1-races verreden worden. Van der Zande staat te popelen om te beginnen: Ik heb er enorm veel zin en kijk uit naar het openingsweekend in Barcelona.

Hij vervolgt: Het is tijd om weer te gaan racen. Na al het testen en het voorbereiden gaan we eindelijk los in een Formule 1-weekend. Het zal bijzonder spannend worden met de weinige trainingstijd die we hebben, Dat zal ook voor de nodige chaos zorgen, maar ik ben er helemaal klaar voor! Ik denk dat ervaring het verschil kan maken in een raceklasse als deze. Winnen is alles, maar constant zijn en punten scoren is ook ontzettend belangrijk. Ik voel de druk wel degelijk en daar hou ik wel van!
