GP3 presenteert nieuwe bolide voor 2016

De GP3 Series-organisatie heeft in Monza de nieuwe auto voor de jaren na 2015 onthuld, de GP3/16. De nieuwe bolide bevat een nieuwe 3.4 liter atmosferische Mecachrome V6-motor die ongeveer 400 pk produceert. De aerodynamica van de derde generatie GP3-wagens is aangepast om inhalen te bevorderen en de monocoque is gewijzigd zodat ook langere coureurs erin plaats kunnen nemen.

@nicos: hiervoor gebruikten ze de vier cilinder turbo's uit de Formule Palmer Audi, 1.4 liter blokje met 280 pk. Die hadden precies dezelfde klacht als de F1 sinds twee jaar: je hoort ze niet! Daarna koos men voor 2 liter Renault blokken uit de F2.0 klassen en nu heeft men de F3.5 motor als basis... [Lees verder]
