Ocon nipt voor Ghiotto tijdens GP3-training

Esteban Ocon heeft op vrijdag de snelste tijd neergezet op Monza. De ART Grand Prix-coureur reed een 1:38.213, en was daarmee een halve tiende sneller dan de leider uit het kampioenschap Luca Ghiotto. Emil Bernstorff wist beslag te leggen op de derde positie.

Dit weekend zijn er twee nieuwkomers in de GP3. Brandon Maisano, die uitkomt voor Campos Racing, moest anderhalve seconde toegeven op Ocon, wat uiteindelijk genoeg was voor de zestiende plaats. Amaury Bonduel van Tridant was iets meer dan drie seconden langzamer, en finishte de trainingssessie als laatste.

Om kwart voor tien vandaag begint de kwalificatie in de GP3 en vanmiddag is de eerste race van het weekend. Deze begint om kwart over vijf.
