Organisatie maakt gridpenalty Van der Zande ongedaan

De GP3-organisatie heeft de straf die Renger van der Zande gisteren kreeg alweer ingetrokken. De Nederlander ontving een gridpenalty van 10 plaatsen voor de eerste race in Hongarije, maar deze straf berustte op een misverstand.

Gisteren maakte de organisatie al bekend dat Nigel Melker, Renger van der Zande en Doru Sechelariu tien plaatsen terug moeten op de startgrid voor de eerste race in Hongarije. Melker en Van der Zande vanwege het veroorzaken van een crash, Sechelariu werd ook nog eens uit de uitslag van de tweede race in Hockenheim gehaald.

Echter, vandaag maakte de organisatie bekend dat er een fout is gemaakt en dat Van der Zande verwart is met teamgenoot Tobias Hegewald. Inmiddels heeft de Duitser de gridpenalty gekregen en is Van der Zande vrij van alle straffen.
