Van der Zande: "Goede hoop voor opnieuw een podium"

Renger van der Zande brak afgelopen weekend de ban door voor het eerst op het podium te eindigen in de GP3 Series. Dat smaakt naar meer. Van der Zande: Ik heb goede hoop ook dit weekend weer om de podiumplaatsen te kunnen strijden.

Hij zegt verder: Vorig weekend stond ik eindelijk weer op het podium. Voor mij een keerpunt na een aantal zware races. Met het blije gezicht van mijn teambaas Peter Mücke nog voor de geest, verheug ik me op deze volgende race. De zeer hoogwaardige simulator van de Technische Universiteit Delft is steeds vaker mijn virtuele homebase. Ook nu weer heb ik een dag op de simulator gezeten, uiteraard met Boedapest als oefenmateriaal. Het mooie is dat de installatie is opgezet voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Ondertussen ben ik volop in de slag met mijn plannen voor de komende drie jaar. Daar zal een podium een stimulans voor zijn.
