Melker: "Ik wil volgend jaar voor de overwinningen strijden"

Nigel Melker werd gisteren door RSC Mücke Motorsport bevestigd voor volgend seizoen. Hierdoor zal de Nederlander voor het tweede achtereenvolgende jaar racen in de GP3 Series, waarin hij dit seizoen al twee pole positions wist te veroveren.

Ondanks die twee poles eindigde Melker slechts één maal in de top-tien. Desondanks blijft de 19-jarige Nederlander vertrouwen houden in een beter seizoen volgend jaar. "Dit is echt een leerjaar voor me geweest", vertelde Melker. "Ik heb veel ervaring opgedaan en mijn doel voor volgend jaar is om voor de overwinningen te strijden. Ik heb laten zien wat ik in huis heb met twee pole positions en een snelste ronde in Monza. Ik heb vertrouwen in een goed seizoen."
