Trident Racing legt Boccolacci en Tveter vast

Trident Racing heeft de line-up voor het komende GP3-seizoen rond. Dorian Boccolacci en Ryan Tveter voegen zich bij de eerder gecontracteerde Giuliano Alesi en Kevin Jörg. De 18-jarige Boccolacci is afkomstig uit de Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup, waar hij als runner-up eindigde achter kampioen Lando Norris. De 22-jarige Tveter was de voorbije twee jaar actief in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3.

Boccolacci: "Ik ben extreem trots op de uitverkiezing om voor Trident Racing in de GP3 uit te komen in 2017. Het is een nieuwe en uitdagende serie voor me en de competitie zal zwaar zijn. Ik blaak echter van het vertrouwen na het werk dat ik met de technische staf van het team heb verzet. Dat stelde me namelijk in staat om sterk te presteren in de tests ter voorbereiding op het nieuwe seizoen. Ik kan niet wachten totdat de jaargang van start gaat."

Tveter: "Het is een fantastische mogelijkheid om dit jaar namens Trident in de GP3 te racen. Ik ben ook trots en dankbaar voor het feit dat ik me bij Giuliano en Formule 2-coureurs Sean Gelael en Norman Nato in het door KFC en Pertamina ondersteunde programma mag voegen. Ik voel vanaf het begin al een klik met Trident en we werken sinds mijn eerste GP3-test eind vorig jaar in Abu Dhabi al prettig samen. Ik ben blij en goed voorbereid voor het komende seizoen."
