MP Motorsport vanaf 2018 ook actief in de GP3

Het Nederlandse formuleteam MP Motorsport stapt vanaf komend jaar in de GP3 Series. Daarmee breidt het team de activiteiten nog verder nadat het eerder al actief was in de Formule 2, Formule Renault 2.0 en Formule 4. Het team neemt de inschrijving van het Japanse team DAMS over zo laat het team weten.

"Het was een mooie kans die we niet konden laten liggen", aldus teammanager Sander Dorsman. "Met de GP3 voegen we de ontbrekende stap toe aan de talentenladder die we voor ogen hebben. Na de Formule 4 en de Formule Renault 2.0 kunnen coureurs nu ook met ons de opstap maken naar het volgende niveau op weg naar de Formule 1."

Dit seizoen neemt MP deel in de Formule 2, de Formule Renault 2.0 (Eurocup en NEC) en de Noord-Europese en Spaanse kampioenschappen Formule 4. In de Formule 2 zegevierde het team met Sergio Sette Câmara op Spa, terwijl Christian Lundgaard inmiddels Noord-Europees F4-kampioen is geworden.

Voor zijn debuut in de GP3 neemt MP Motorsport de inschrijving van het Franse team DAMS over. Dorsman is ervan overtuigd dat MP een vliegende start kan maken in de GP3. "We hebben diverse medewerkers in dienst die eerder in de GP3 hebben gewerkt. Daardoor kunnen we de posities voor het GP3-team grotendeels intern invullen."

Het GP3-team van MP gaat al tijdens de komende naseizoenstest in Abu Dhabi van start. Deze testdagen op het circuit van Yas Marina volgen direct op het laatste raceweekend van het F2/GP3-seizoen van 2017, op 25 en 26 november.

Wanneer wordt de GP3 de Formule 3? Is dat niet al volgend seizoen of het seizoen erna?

En ja hoor weer is het artikel niet nagelezen.... In alinea 1 is DAMS Japans in alinea 4 is het Frans. Er zijn tegenwoordig meer artikelen die gewoon compleet onjuist zijn dan die juist zijn. Een artikel laten vertalen is prima maar controleer het daarna!

  En ze passen het gewoon ook niet aan he... het staat er nog steeds... Ik vind dit een super site kwa nieuws maar de laatste tijd is het aantal artikelen met onjuiste inhoud erg groot. Hebben ze een nieuwe redacteur aangenomen die er een potje van maakt?
