Callum Ilott verbindt zich voor 2018 aan topteam ART

Callum Ilott weet wat hij volgend jaar gaat doen. De Brit, sinds eerder dit jaar lid van het opleidingsprogramma van Ferrari, racet in 2018 in de GP3. Hij is ondergebracht bij topteam ART Grand Prix, dat afgelopen seizoen kampioen George Russell in de gelederen had.

Sterker nog, de vier coureurs van ART eindigden in het kampioenschap op de eerste vier posities. Ilott: "Samen met de Ferrari Driver Academy hebben we besloten om volgend jaar GP3 te doen bij ART Grand Prix. Dit is de eerste stap in onze samenwerking en daar ben ik heel erg blij mee."

"ART is een zeer professioneel team met een lange erelijst in de GP3 en ik ben opgewonden dat ik voor hen mag racen. Een uitverkiezing voor een ART-stoeltje voor de GP3 is een waar voorrecht. Ik verheug me op de nieuwe auto, nieuwe circuits en nieuwe uitdagingen en ik wil ART laten zien waar ik toe in staat ben."
