Leonardo Pulcini maakt overstap naar Campos

Leonardo Pulcini komt komend seizoen voor Campos Racing uit in de GP3. De 19-jarige Italiaan was vorig jaar nog een van de teamgenoten van Steijn Schothorst bij Arden International in de opstapklasse. In 2017 verzamelde hij twintig punten op weg naar een veertiende plaats in het kampioenschap.

Het betreft een hereniging met Campos Racing, aangezien Pulcini in 2016 met het Spaanse team het Euroformula F3 Open-kampioenschap wist te winnen. "Ik ben trots en blij om terug te keren bij Campos Racing", verklaarde de Italiaan. "Dit is een belangrijk team voor mijn carrière geweest, ik heb hier veel geleerd."

"Bovendien hebben Campos en ik samen al races en titels gewonnen. Dit is mijn racefamilie. Ik weet dat ze zich erop verheugen om mij weer vooruit te helpen. Het is een bepalend seizoen. Ik denk dat we over een competitief pakket beschikken en in aanmerking zullen komen voor overwinningen."

Eerder legde Campos Racing al Simo Laaksonen vast.
