Trident Racing ruimt weer plek in voor Ryan Tveter

Ryan Tveter heeft zich verzekerd van een tweede seizoen in de GP3. De 23-jarige Amerikaan blijft bij het team van Trident Racing. Vorig jaar scoorde hij in zijn debuutseizoen 78 punten op weg naar een zevende positie. Trident Racing had eerder al Giuliano Alesi vastgelegd voor 2018.

Tveter: "Ik ben heel blij dat ik voor Trident blijf racen in de GP3. Ik wil het team en mijn sponsors en supporters bedanken dat ze dit mogelijk hebben gemaakt. Vorig jaar was een soort doorbraakseizoen voor mij en dat was voor een groot deel te danken aan de steun en de sfeer binnen het team."

"Alles staat bij Trident in het teken om de coureur te ondersteunen. Die steun helpt je om vertrouwen in jezelf en de auto op te bouwen. Ik heb vorig seizoen een paar keer net naast de overwinning gegrepen, maar we hebben desalniettemin fantastische resultaten behaald met geweldige consistentie."

"Mijn eerste podium was iets dat ik nooit meer zal vergeten en champagne spuiten en een trofee in ontvangst nemen gaat nooit vervelen. Het team en ik hebben hoge verwachtingen voor 2018 en ik kan niet wachten om te starten met de tests in het voorseizoen."
