Drietal rijders vindt onderdak in GP3 voor 2018

De GP3 start vandaag met de voorbereiding op het nieuwe seizoen met een test op Paul Ricard. Voordat die sessie vanochtend om 09.00 uur begon gaven drie teams nog even een nieuwe naam in hun line-up voor komend seizoen prijs.

Arden International plukt Joey Mawson weg bij Van Amersfoort Racing uit het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. De 21-jarige Australiër veroverde in 2016 de titel in het Duits Formule 4-kampioenschap. Vorig jaar legde hij beslag op een dertiende plek in de Formule 3.

Bij Campos Racing completeert Diego Menchaca de line-up voor 2018. De 23-jarige Mexicaan is afkomstig uit de Formule V8 3.5. Jenzer Motorsport heeft David Beckmann toegevoegd aan de line-up die verder bestaat uit Tatiana Calderon en Juan Manuel Correa.
