Doru Sechelariu ook in 2011 bij Tech 1 in GP3 Series

Tech 1 heeft vandaag bevestigd dat Doru Sechelariu komend seizoen aan zal blijven als racecoureur in de GP3 Series. In 2010 reed de Roemeen al in de nieuwe klasse, maar kwam toen niet verder dan drie top tien finishes en nul punten.

Volgens Tech 1-teambaas Simon Abadie zal Sechelariu het dit jaar veel beter doen nu hij een jaar ervaring heeft. "Het was belangrijk voor ons om voor het tweede seizoen door te gaan met een rijder die het kampioenschap kent. Het feit dat we nu een jaar ervaring hebben in de GP3 Series zal ons zeker helpen om dichterbij de kop van het veld te komen. We rekenen op Sechelariu die vorig jaar bij vlagen goede dingen liet zien."

Depas 18-jarige Roemeen vertelde: "Mijn eerste GP3-seizoen was leerzaam, maar samen met het team hebben we vooruitgang geboekt. Het was de beste optie voor mij om met Tech 1 in de GP3 te blijven racen. We kunnen samen doorgroeien."
