Lewis Williamson completeert line-up Arden in GP3 Series

De GP3-tak van het team van Arden benutte deze week om de line-up voor het aanstaande GP3 Series-seizoen rond te maken. De renstal, waar ook Formule 1-coureur Mark Webber bij betrokken is, trekt Lewis Williamson als teamgenoot voor Simon Trummer en Mitch Evans aan.

Williamson won in 2010 de McLaren Autosport BRDC Award van grootste Britse talent. MW Arden-teambaas Julian Rouse: Het doet ons deugd om met Lewis Williamson aan de slag te gaan. Hij is een coureur met overduidelijk veel talent. Hij heeft bewezen zich snel aan te kunnen passen, dus ik heb alle vertrouwen dat hij in zijn eerste jaar in de GP3 meteen competitief is.

Williamson: Het is geweldig om in 2011 deel uit te maken van MW Arden en een kans in de GP3 te krijgen. Ik ben het team en Highland Arena dankbaar dat ze dit mogelijk maken. Ze hebben het van beide kanten geweldig gedaan. Nu is het aan mij om mijn kans te grijpen en ik ga 110 procent geven.
